1100 series features

The 1100 series consists of 15 packs of dimensions 16 x 11.5 x 2.5 cm, containing subjects in HO scale, with catalog numbers from 1101 to 1115.

The 1000 series is characterized by three themes distinguished by as many specific symbols and colors; blue for the "Legends of the west", yellow for the "Heroes of the west" and red for the "Indians of the west".

Note that the images of the 1000 series packs are the same as those used for the 1000 series, 2050 series, 1060 series and 1200 series.

The 1000 series was produced, from January to April 1975, in a first graphics format, called first edition,  including catalog numbers from 1101 to 1106, whose main characteristics can be summarized as follows:
- cover with the symbol of the theme and the words "History of the west" on a wooden background.
- back of the package with a more or less complete list of the catalog numbers of the series, the symbols

that characterize them and historical notes on the subject contained.

Subsequently, from June 1975, the 1000 series was produced in a second graphic format, called the second edition, also including the catalog numbers from 1007 to 1115, whose main characteristics can be summarized as follows:
- cover with the symbol of the theme contained and the words "Far-West Story" on the background of

the specific color of the theme to which it belongs.
- back of the package with a more or less complete list of the catalog numbers of the series, the symbols

that characterize them and historical notes on the subject contained.

The "second edition" was initially produced in a first graphic format which did not show the wording "made in Italy" on the back of the packaging, a wording added only later, effectively forming two different editions called "second edition type A" and " second edition type B".

The second edition was also produced in 2 further editions for the foreign market:
one called "second international edition" and another called "second French edition", whose packaging intended for the French market shows on the back a "wording" in which the importer, Claudie Berthier Services of Lyon, guaranteed its compliance with the most rigorous standards across the Alps.

Of the "second international edition" two further graphic guises are known:
one which shows on the back in addition to the wording "made in Italy" the addition of the wording "plastic non toxic", called "international edition type A", and another with the further addition of the "wording" of conformity to international standards , called "international edition type B."

Instead of the "second French edition" four further graphic guises are known:
three of these are the same previous versions (second edition type A, secon edition type B and international edition type A) which show the conformity wording at the top of the back of the package, respectively called "second French edition type A1", "second French edition type A2" and "second French edition type A2", a fourth edition which it shows it on the right side of the back of the package, called "second French edition type B".

It should be noted that a number of second edition packs have been marketed with the back of the 1000 series (more or less complete list of catalog numbers), effectively creating what can be called a "second edition bis".
