MP-200 series first edition features

The MP-200 first edition series, also known as "plastici componibili", is made up of 6 case packs measuring 45 x 34 x 7 cm, containing subjects in HO scale, with catalog numbers from MP-201 to MP-212 ; note the non-contiguous numbering of the series which would suggest an initial reference to the final numbers of the packages of the 10000 series of the same subject.

Its production begins in November 1972 with the first 4 packs and ends in October 1973 with the start of the production of the last 2 packs n. MP-211 and MP-212.

Each pack contains a diorama painted by the house and initially about the equivalent of a 10000 series pack of the same subject and in some packs there are also some cannons to be mounted on the diorama and small airplanes.

On the very first packages it was possible to find directly included the corresponding package of the 10000 series while subsequently, probably in the packages produced from 1973 onwards, it is possible to find contained clusters of soldiers of the 10000 series that do not correspond to the subjects of the package

The Atlantic logo, the name of the subject, the catalog number and the scale are shown on the front of the packs, as well as on the side edges.

On the back of the packs there is a child playing with the first 4 models produced and at the top the images of the first 4 packs of the same series; it should be noted that in the very first packs of the first 4 catalog numbers at the bottom left there are images of 4 packs of the 10000 series, while later, since 1973, with the production of the last two packs, the images of the 4 packs of the 10000 series have been replaced with images from the last two packs of the same MP-200 series.

The upper edge of the packs is equipped with a handle, while the lower edge is light blue and the illustrations of the contents are shown for the MP-211 and MP-212 packs only.
